Web Presence
Hosted websites and ongoing care for local businesses, makers, and operators who'd rather not babysit a CMS. We design, build, host, and keep it current.
See packagesSlow Bear Systems is a small, founder-led studio making the unglamorous bones of modern work — websites, software, infrastructure, and physical objects — for people who'd rather have one good thing than five rushed ones.
We keep the studio small on purpose. The same hands that scope your project write the code, rack the server, or solder the board. Pick a lane — or hand us a problem and we'll figure out which one it belongs in.

See packagesCustom tools, dashboards, and back-office plumbing — the things that should exist but no off-the-shelf product does. Built in the open with you, not behind a curtain.
Get in touchManaged hosting, self-hosted services, and secure deployments. We run our own iron and our clients' workloads — boring, monitored, and resilient on purpose.
Get in touch3D printing, small-batch electronics, and physical prototyping. From a one-off enclosure to a kiosk that ships, we like things you can hold.
Get in touchThree monthly plans that include hosting, the domain, ongoing edits, and a human you can email when something looks off. No annual contracts — pause or change tiers whenever your business does.
The Lab is the studio's open workbench — internal experiments, half-finished tools, and the curious side-projects that keep the practice sharp. Some become products. Some stay strange. Personality lives here.
A small-world physics & ecology simulator. Watch a tide-pool civilization argue over real estate for an afternoon, then ship the screenshot to clients as a punchline.
A local-first reading assistant that lives in the margins of long PDFs — notes, summaries, and counter-arguments from a model you actually run on your own machine.
An open-source set of small printable fixtures, jigs and clip-ons for makers — designed in the studio, fabricated on a Bambu, and released under a permissive licence.
A short note on who runs the studio, why it's named after the toughest animal in the world, and what we actually mean by "deliberate."
Slow Bear Systems is a one-builder studio operating under the Isometric Labs umbrella. We've shipped marketing sites for plumbers, internal dashboards for clinics, racks of self-hosted services for small teams, and a simulation engine that nobody asked for. It's all the same craft.
The name is a translation of tardigrade — the microscopic "water bear" that survives boiling, freezing, vacuum, and radiation by simply slowing down until conditions are better. We liked the metaphor. We work at a deliberate pace, scope honestly, and prefer durable things to clever ones. When the surrounding tech world panics about whatever framework launched yesterday, we keep moving.
If you have a project that needs to be built well, kept running, and not rebuilt every eighteen months — that's our entire shape.
One short form, one real human reading it. We answer every inquiry within two business days — usually the same one, sometimes from a phone in a workshop. No funnels, no sales calls.
